Sharon is eighteen-years-old. She was born exactly one day before I was. At a year old, she suffered from untreated sicknesses which led to permanent heart problems. She needs surgery and her need for it is getting more and more desperate. BUT, not only is the surgery more than her family could pay, they also have a debt at the hospital which it will take them a while to pay. Before we even met them, Sharon and her sister has begun making mats and other crafts to sell to pay for her heart surgery and their debt. Our goal is to raise $10,000 so Sharon's debt can be paid and her surgery can be funded.
If you would like to find out more, here are the posts I have written about her {on this blog and other places}.

Update September 2015
As of March 21 we are almost at $3000. We still have a long way to go. Please join us in praying for Sharon's health as she waits for heart surgery and that all the funds will come through quickly.
If you feel led to give, click here to donate. Click on 'Support' under the Gwartney family, put in the comments 'Sharon's Heart Project'. All funds with this designation will be used for Sharon's expenses. If extra funds are collected or if any thing happens to Sharon before her heart surgery, all extra funds will be used for other medical projects in our surrounding villages. Thank you!
Please share this on your blog/social media sites so we can spread Sharon's story.
